Mount Ararat

Mount Ararat is not only the highest point of the Armenian Highland but also the symbol of Armenia. Our club has been organizing ascents to 5000+ peaks since 2017, the most significant of which is Mount Ararat (5137m). Ararat is undoubtedly beautiful from Armenia; let's discover together how beautiful Armenia is from the top of Ararat. Day 1: Yerevan – Akhalkalaki – Georgia-Turkey border – Ani – Bayazet On the first day, our journey passes through Armenia, Georgia, and Turkey. We will first visit Ani, the city of a thousand and one churches. After touring Ani, we head to Bayazet to stay at a high-class hotel. Day 2: First Camp (3300m) The group will travel from Bayazet by off-road vehicles to 2200m on Mount Ararat, where the hike begins. After a 4-5 hour trek, participants will reach the first camp at 3300m for an overnight stay in tents. Day 3: Second Camp (4100m) In the morning, the group ascends to the second camp at 4100m. Here, participants will rest and prepare for the next day's summit. Overnight stay at the camp at 4100m. Day 4: Summit Ascent (5165m) The ascent to the peak of Ararat begins at night, around 2:00-3:00 AM. After reaching the summit and taking photos, we descend to the 4100m camp, then to 3300m, and return by vehicle to our hotel in Bayazet for the night. Day 5: Bayazet – Kars – Yerevan In the morning, the group travels to Kars to see the Kars Fortress and the Holy Apostles Church before returning to Yerevan. During the climb, heavy gear will be transported by horses. Price includes: transport services, hotel accommodation, meals on the mountain, 2 guides, a cook on the mountain, horse transportation for heavy backpacks, climbing permits, tents, mats, and crampons. Price does not include: personal gear, meals during the road journey, visa fees, entrance tickets to historical sites, alcoholic beverages. Required gear: professional mountain clothing, thermal wear, 2 backpacks (60-70L and 20-35L), fleece jacket, trekking poles, 2 types of gloves, first aid kit, sunscreen, thermos, professional mountain boots, warm spare clothes, raincoat, sleeping bag (-2 to -5 C), gaiters, winter and summer hats, mountain sunglasses, headlamp, and powerbank. Participants receive a certificate from the Armenian Mountaineering Federation. Registration and a signed agreement form are required in advance.

Hiking from Parz Lake to Gosh Lake

A scenic route from Dilijan to Khachardzan village. We will start at the serene Parz Lake, visit Goshavank monastery to discover its history and intricate cross-stones, and follow a beautiful forest trail to Gosh Lake. Total distance: 17 km Required gear: Hiking boots and comfortable clothing, warm and spare clothes, rain jacket, backpack, sun hat and sunglasses, sunscreen, flashlight, first aid kit, and food for one day. Route distance: 10 km Relative altitude: 600 m Required gear: • Hiking boots and comfortable clothing • Warm clothes and a spare set of clothes • Backpack and raincoat • Sun hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen • Flashlight and first aid kit • Food for one day (bottled water is provided by the club) Meet at Republic Square (near Marriott Hotel) at 07:30. Climbing Mount Kazbek (5033m), located on the border of Georgia and Russia. Technical difficulty: 2A. Previous mountaineering experience is MANDATORY. Itinerary: Day 1: Yerevan – Stepantsminda. Early departure from Yerevan to Stepantsminda (1750m). Overnight in a guesthouse. Day 2: Mount Kazbek – Bethlemi Hut (Meteo Station). Off-road transfer to Gergeti Trinity Church, then hike to the Meteo Station (3750m). Duration: 6-7 hours. Overnight at the shelter. Day 3: Acclimatization. Hike to 4200m and return to the station for overnight. Day 4: Summit Day. Start at 1:00-2:00 AM for the climb to the peak (5033m). The climb takes 11-13 hours. Descend and stay overnight at the station. Day 5: Return to Yerevan. Descend to Stepantsminda and drive back to Yerevan. Day 6: Reserve day in case of bad weather.
