For the third event in the Curatorial Conversation series, Nairi Khatchadourian and art curator Diana Sardaryan will discuss what it means to define ourselves culturally in a supposedly “global” world. Key topics: — Knowledge production and why the source of our values matters. — Side effects of adopting foreign ideas into a local context. — How hard and soft power shape our understanding of ourselves. — What studying in global cultural centers reveals about our own contexts and histories. — The creation of myths and how Armenia is currently redefining its own narratives. Her work focuses on underrepresented cultures, post-colonial narratives, and the intersection of art, design, and technology.
