After reaching the peak (3201m), we’ll visit Nzhdeh's monument before heading back to the campsite and returning to Yerevan. We are heading to the high slopes of Mount Aragats to discover two beautiful mountain lakes. The journey starts from Nigavan village, where we will take trucks deep into the mountains before hiking across open terrain to Lake Yeghnalich (3016 m) and the nearby Kuraghbyur Lake. Hike length: approx. 8 km. Essential gear: hiking boots, comfortable and warm clothing, change of clothes, backpack, sun hat, sunglasses, raincoat, first aid kit, sunscreen, flashlight, and food for one day. North Peak Mountain Club invites experienced mountain enthusiasts to climb one of the most beautiful peaks in the Alps — the famous Matterhorn (4478 m) via the classic Hörnli ridge from the Swiss side. This route has a 3B (AD+) alpine difficulty rating, so only those with sufficient rock climbing training and experience can participate. Each group consists of a maximum of 4 participants and 2 guides. Itinerary: Day 1. Arrival in Zermatt. City walk, preparations for the ascent, overnight at a hotel. Participants arrive in Zermatt independently; organizers can assist with booking tickets. Day 2. Cable car to Schwarzsee station (2580 m). Hike to the Hornlihutte mountain hut at 3260 m (4.3 km hike). If time permits, we will scout a section of the climbing route. Day 3. Start at 05:00 for the summit of Matterhorn. The ascent usually takes 5-6 hours, and the descent to the hut takes about the same. The entire climb is done in rope teams with mutual insurance. Day 4. Reserve day for a second attempt or weather conditions. Descent to Zermatt. Day 5. Departure.
