After stocking up in Kapan, we head to the Navchay campsite for a restful evening by the bonfire. Day 2: The ascent starts at 4:00 AM. After reaching the peak (3201m), we’ll visit Nzhdeh's monument before heading back to the campsite and returning to Yerevan. Trail Details: - Hiking distance: 12 km - Relative elevation gain: 1200 m Required gear: Comfortable hiking boots, warm layers (nights are cold), trekking poles, headlamp, sunscreen, raincoat, at least 1.5L of water, and light snacks for two days. The journey starts from Nigavan village, where we will take trucks deep into the mountains before hiking across open terrain to Lake Yeghnalich (3016 m) and the nearby Kuraghbyur Lake. Hike length: approx. 8 km. North Peak Mountain Club invites experienced mountain enthusiasts to climb one of the most beautiful peaks in the Alps — the famous Matterhorn (4478 m) via the classic Hörnli ridge from the Swiss side. This route has a 3B (AD+) alpine difficulty rating, so only those with sufficient rock climbing training and experience can participate. Each group consists of a maximum of 4 participants and 2 guides. Itinerary: Day 1. Arrival in Zermatt. City walk, preparations for the ascent, overnight at a hotel. Participants arrive in Zermatt independently; organizers can assist with booking tickets. Day 2. Cable car to Schwarzsee station (2580 m). Hike to the Hornlihutte mountain hut at 3260 m (4.3 km hike). If time permits, we will scout a section of the climbing route. Day 3. Start at 05:00 for the summit of Matterhorn. The ascent usually takes 5-6 hours, and the descent to the hut takes about the same. The entire climb is done in rope teams with mutual insurance. Day 4. Reserve day for a second attempt or weather conditions. Descent to Zermatt. Day 5. Departure. Price includes: program organization, hotel in Zermatt (2 nights), 2 nights at Hornlihutte (with breakfast and dinner), cable car tickets, guide services, group technical equipment, and 2 days of practical training in Armenia. North Peak Mountain Club invites experienced mountain lovers to climb the symbol of Georgia — Mount Kazbek (5033 m) in 2026. Program (6 days/5 nights): Day 1. Departure from Yerevan. Sightseeing along the way. Arrival in Stepantsminda, equipment rental, overnight stay in a guesthouse. Day 2. Morning transfer to Gergeti Trinity Church (2200 m), followed by a hike with light backpacks to the Meteo Station (3650 m). Heavy luggage will be transported by horses. Overnight at the Meteo Station. Day 3. Acclimatization climb to 4000 m, snow and ice training, rest at the station. Day 4. Ascent to the summit starts at 03:00. After photos and celebration, return to the Meteo Station for rest. Day 5. Descent to Gergeti Church, then by car to Stepantsminda. Heavy bags transported by horses. Overnight in the guesthouse.
