Lakes Mtnalich, Rapi, and Astghkan
Hiking & NatureA hike to the alpine lakes of Mount Aragats. Starting from Geghadzor village, we will take a GAZ 66 truck up to Lake Rapi (3,000m), which offers a view of the northern wall of the mountain. From there, we hike toward Mtnalich (3,500m)—a deep blue lake situated directly beneath Armenia's highest peak—and Lake Astghkan. Route length: 10 km Altitude gain: 500 m Required gear: Backpack, hiking boots or sturdy sport shoes (+spare pair), warm clothes, raincoat, cap, sunglasses and sunscreen, headlight, one-day meal, and at least 1.5l of water.
