Hike to Smbataberd and Tsaghats Kar
Dear hiking and active leisure enthusiasts! ArmLand is back on the road — this time to the magical landscapes of Vayots Dzor. Our destination is the mighty Smbataberd, a 10th-11th century fortress considered one of the largest and most mysterious structures in the region. There are suggestions that it existed even before the 5th century. Along the way, we will also visit the Tsaghats Kar monastic complex, Yeghegis village, and the Zorats St. Astvatsatsin Church. We will start the hike from Artabuynk village and end in Yeghegis. Total length: 10 km. Bottled water is provided by the club. Discover the history and nature of Vayots Dzor with us.
