Ascent to Mt. Dimats
Hiking & NatureAn ascent to Mount Dimats (2378 m) in the Ijevan Mountains of Tavush. The route begins near Haghartsin Monastery, winds through a forested area to the Hidden Waterfall, and continues along the mountain range to the summit, offering panoramic views of the rocky cliffs. Route length: 18 km Altitude gain: 1000 m Requirement: Sufficient hiking experience for a long and steep route. What to bring: backpack (required), trekking poles, one-day meal, water (at least 1.5l), sunscreen, cap and sunglasses, warm clothes, raincoat, flashlight, personal first aid kit. Wear comfortable sports clothes and sturdy hiking boots; bring a spare pair of shoes just in case. Booking instructions: 1. Call 043 00 5165 or message the Armenian Geographic Facebook page. 2. First-time hikers must fill out the form: https://bit.ly/3Yhra9b 3. Transfer payment to Armgeo LLC (InecoBank: 2052 0222 1888 1001), mentioning your name/surname or phone number. 4. Send a screenshot of the payment receipt to Armenian Geographic via Facebook messenger. Cancellations are accepted up to 12:00 PM the day before the hike. Refunds are not provided for late cancellations or missing the departure.
