An ascent to the Northern Summit of Mount Aragats via Lake Rapi. This route offers a view of the wild and untouched side of the mountain, away from the typical tourist crowds. From Yerevan, the group travels to the village of Geghadzor, then takes a truck to Lake Rapi to begin the hike. Altitude gain: 1100 m Route length: 12 km The ascent is moderately difficult to challenging. Only participants with mountain hiking experience who have climbed above 3,000 meters in the past few months can register. Required gear: Backpack, hiking boots, warm clothes, raincoat, cap, sunscreen, sunglasses, headlight, one-day meal, and water (at least 1.5l).
