Ascent to Mount Ara via the Northern Route
Ascent to Mount Ara via the northern route through the forest. We will climb both the false summit (2,577 m) and the true summit (2,605 m). Route length: 17 km Elevation gain: 900 m Meeting point: Martiros Saryan park Includes transport and guide services. What to bring: • Backpack (required) • One-day food supply and at least 1.5 L of water • Comfortable hiking or sturdy athletic shoes (plus a spare pair just in case) • Warm clothes and a raincoat • Sunscreen, cap, sunglasses • Flashlight, personal first aid kit • Trekking poles and gaiters (optional) To book, call 043 00 5165 or message the Armenian Geographic Facebook page (Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM–6:30 PM).
