The journey begins with a ride in a ZIL off-road vehicle to the foot of the mountain, saving energy for the main ascent. We will reach the summit of Azhdahak by passing over the peak of Karmrakatar. Azhdahak (3597 m) is the third highest peak in Armenia. The summit offers views of the Geghama Mountains and the natural lake nestled within the volcanic crater. Distance: 12 km Relative altitude: 550 m Duration: 12 hours (including off-road sections) Difficulty: moderate Required gear: Hiking backpack and full gear, warm clothing, gloves, trekking poles, sunscreen, headlamp, personal first aid kit, raincoat, water and food for one day, spare batteries/power bank.
