Avetik Isahakyan and China: A Meeting of Civilizations
ArtsA public lecture and exhibition opening dedicated to the first comprehensive study of the Chinese collection at the Avetik Isahakyan House-Museum. Buddhist sculptures, Taoist deities, and figures of Chinese sages kept alongside the poet's manuscripts reveal Isahakyan's deep intellectual engagement with Eastern cultural and philosophical traditions. Based on rare archival materials, the lecture uncovers the history of this material dialogue—a space where Armenian poetry, Chinese philosophy, and ancient semantic thought coexist. Speaker: Ani Margaryan, PhD in Art History, Postdoctoral Fellow at the School of Art, Soochow University, and founder of the ChinArmArt platform.
Organizer
