Climbing Mount Elbrus 2026

North Peak Mountain Club invites experienced mountain lovers to climb the highest peak of Russia and Europe — Mount Elbrus (5642m) in 2026. The program lasts 7 days and 6 nights. Climbing Program: Day 1. Evening departure from Yerevan to cross the borders at night and avoid queues. Day 2. Arrival in Terskol (Kabardino-Balkaria), renting missing equipment, overnight at a hotel. Day 3. Departure to Azau, cable car ascent to 3850m. Acclimatization hike to Pastukhov Rocks (4700m). Return and overnight at the hotel. Day 4. Cable car to "Garabashi" station (3850m). Hike to "Priyut 11" shelter (4050m); heavy luggage moved by snowcat (ratrak). Acclimatization hike to "Kosaya Polka" (5100m). Overnight at "Priyut 11". Day 5. Rest day and snow-ice training: learning ice axe techniques and proper movement on ice/snow terrain. Day 6. At 00:00, start of the ascent to the West Summit of Elbrus (5642m). After the summit, return to the 4050m camp, rest, and descent to Terskol. Overnight at the hotel. Day 7. Departure to Yerevan. Day 8-9. Reserve days for bad weather (costs covered by the organizer). Included: Transport Yerevan - Terskol - Yerevan, hotel in Terskol (3 nights), food during the climb, breakfasts in Terskol and celebratory dinner, guide services (1 guide per 3-4 participants), shelter rental ("Priyut 11", 2 nights), ratrak for gear (ascent only), cable car tickets. Not included: Personal gear rental, meals in Terskol (except breakfast), mandatory insurance. Required gear: 2 backpacks (25L and 70L), trekking poles, thermal layers, professional mountain boots, membrane jacket/pants, fleece, hat, balaclava, gloves, crampons, ice axe, climbing harness, sun protection (cat 3-4), sleeping bag (comfort 0°C to -5°C), headlamp, thermos.
