Kazbek Ascent 2026

North Peak Mountain Club invites experienced mountain lovers to climb the symbol of Georgia — Mount Kazbek (5033 m) in 2026. Program (6 days/5 nights): Day 1. Departure from Yerevan. Sightseeing along the way. Arrival in Stepantsminda, equipment rental, overnight stay in a guesthouse. Day 2. Morning transfer to Gergeti Trinity Church (2200 m), followed by a hike with light backpacks to the Meteo Station (3650 m). Heavy luggage will be transported by horses. Overnight at the Meteo Station. Day 3. Acclimatization climb to 4000 m, snow and ice training, rest at the station. Day 4. Ascent to the summit starts at 03:00. After photos and celebration, return to the Meteo Station for rest. Day 5. Descent to Gergeti Church, then by car to Stepantsminda. Heavy bags transported by horses. Overnight in the guesthouse. Day 6. Return to Yerevan. Day 7. Reserve day. Participation fee: 850 $ (equivalent in AMD). Price includes: - Comfortable transport Yerevan - Stepantsminda - Yerevan and local transfers to Gergeti - Guesthouse in Stepantsminda (2 nights with breakfast) - Food during the ascent, breakfasts, and a festive dinner in Stepantsminda - Guide services (ratio of 1 guide per 3-4 participants) - Meteo Station accommodation (3 nights) - Packhorses for heavy luggage - Group technical and kitchen equipment - Additional night and food if the reserve day is used Not included: - Personal equipment rental - Insurance (mandatory) - Meals in Stepantsminda (except breakfast and festive dinner) North Peak Mountain Club members receive a 10% discount. Successful climbers will receive a certificate approved by North Peak Club and the Armenian Mountaineering and Mountain Tourism Federation. Required gear: 2 backpacks (20-25L and 60-70L or duffle bag), trekking poles, thermal clothing, professional mountain boots, membrane jacket/pants, crampons, ice axe, climbing harness, 3 carabiners, helmet, sleeping bag (comfort 0°C to -5°C), headlamp, and sun protection. Registration is confirmed after full or partial payment of the tour cost.
