Caving Adventure: Magel and Areni-1
ToursA journey into the underworld of Vayots Dzor, exploring two distinct cave environments. Areni-1 (Birds' Cave) An archaeological tour with a professional guide. See where the world’s oldest leather shoe and evidence of ancient winemaking were discovered. Magel Cave A real speleo-adventure. Starting with the illuminated tourist section, we then head deeper into a non-tourist route. Expect about 2 hours underground through dark, narrow passages with bats and natural rock formations. This route is longer and more challenging than the standard trek, requiring some agility. The trip includes a stop in Yeraskh and a scenic drive through the Tigranashen bends with views of Mount Ararat and the canyons of Vayots Dzor.
