A day hike across the southern slopes of the Pambak Range along the Artavaz – Mount Artavaz – Pyunik route. Starting from the village of Artavaz, the trail heads up the river gorge and rocky ridges to the summit of Mount Artavaz (2,929 m). The top offers wide views over the Pambak mountains, Mount Tezhler, the forested Marmarik Valley, and Lake Sevan on a clear day, as well as a relic glacial cirque rock formation near the summit. The descent leads down through the Pyunik River valley into Pyunik village. Trail stats: - Distance: 14 km - Elevation gain: 1,000 m Price includes minibus transportation and guide services.
