A hike to the most scenic lakes of Mount Aragats. The journey starts with an off-road ascent to Lake Rapi, followed by a trek to Lake Mtnalich at 3500m. There will be stops at a supermarket and Gntunik in Aparan. Meals will be in picnic format. Technical details: • Hiking distance: 7 km • Relative elevation gain: 600 m • Lakes altitude: 3001 m and 3500 m Required gear: • Sturdy hiking boots with thick soles • Warm clothes and a spare set of clothing • Sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen) • Raincoat • Flashlight and personal first-aid kit • Water (1.5-2L) and food for one day Starting point: Republic Square (intersection of Amiryan and Abovyan). Please arrive 15 minutes early. Registration can be cancelled with a refund until 12:00 PM on the day before the hike.
