A guided ascent of Mount Azhdahak (3597 m) in the Geghama Mountains. From Geghard village, we will take a ZIL truck to the base of Mount Paytasar to start the hike. The route includes viewing ancient petroglyphs and, weather permitting, a trek across the saddle to Karmir Katar. Distance: 14 km. Difficulty: moderate. Required items: - Comfortable hiking clothes and shoes - Light lunch and 1.5–2 liters of water - Sun hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen - Raincoat - Trekking poles (optional) Meeting point: Yeritasardakan metro station park (near the Hands statue).
