Climb Mount Sis
A three-day expedition to the biblical Ararat range for an ascent of Mount Sis (Little Ararat, 3925m). Itinerary Day 1. Departure from Yerevan to Bayazet via Georgia and Turkey. Sightseeing in Kars: Kars Fortress and the Holy Apostles Church. Day 2. Ascent of Mount Sis (starting from 2500m elevation) and return to Bayazet. Day 3. Visit to the historical ruins of Ani and return to Armenia. Required Gear - Two backpacks (15-20L and 60-70L) - Waterproof hiking boots and layered clothing (thermal base, fleece, rain/wind jacket) - Trekking poles and a headlamp - 1L thermos, sun protection (glasses/cream), personal first-aid kit Price: $450 (group of 12+) or $480 (group under 12). Includes: transportation, 2 nights in a hotel, breakfasts and dinners, lunch boxes, climbing permits, and professional guides. Not included: visa fees and entrance fee to Ani (€8).
