The Miracle of Saint Anthony

The Miracle of Saint Anthony

A mystical comedy based on Maurice Maeterlinck's play (12+). Old, wealthy Miss Hortense has died. Her grieving relatives have gathered to divide the inheritance. The mourning ceremony is about to begin… when suddenly someone appears, calling himself Saint Anthony, and announces that he has come to bring the deceased back to life. The uninvited guest is mocked, insulted, and chased away, but he remains firm in his resolve. And then… oh, a miracle — the deceased takes a breath. And it is at this very moment that the strangest events begin… Inevitably, a question arises: do we take every step in life of our own free will, or is everything predetermined from above, with people merely repeating a long-known script like marionettes — just as it happens in the theatre? Directed by Narine Grigoryan Stage and costume design: Victoria Riedo-Hovhannisyan Musical arrangement: Narek Baghdasaryan Makeup artist: Anya Baroyan Lighting designer: Zaruhi Tarkhanyan Questions: 010 303002, 094 539415
