Flowers of Evil
A mimodrama directed by Zhirayr Dadasyan, based on Charles Baudelaire's famous poetry collection "The Flowers of Evil". At the core of the staging is the eternal question of human self-knowledge, explored through the figure of the great French poet. The poet contemplates humanity's constant drive for metamorphosis, the complex relations between man and woman, the mysterious pull of passing into an unknowable world through death, and the diverse connections between humans and the animal world. The performance draws upon the poems "The Dancing Serpent", "The Cat", "The Mask", and "To a Madonna". Each lives their own life, yet the poet takes part in each, attempting to mend it—only to reveal man caught in a web of his own making. Questions: 098 123132.
