6-Day Mount Ararat Ascent: Ani, Bayazet, Kars, Van

Start preparing — TRICHQ is heading to the summit of dreams, Mount Ararat (5165m). Our journey will be remarkable not only for the ascent but also for visiting numerous historical and cultural monuments of Western Armenia. Day 1: Departure at 04:00 from the Garegin Nzhdeh statue towards the Georgian border. Traveling through Javakhk, we will reach the historic city of Ani, the capital of "a thousand and one churches." Then, we continue to Bayazet. Day 2: Ascent by off-road vehicles to the first base camp at 3200m. Day 3: Ascent to the second base camp at 4200m. Day 4: Midnight summit push to reach the peak by morning. Weather permitting, we will witness the breathtaking view of the Armenian Highland. Descent to 3200m and return to Bayazet to celebrate. Day 5: Travel to Van. We will visit Lake Van, the Holy Cross Church on Akhtamar Island, Van Fortress, and enjoy a swim in the lake. Day 6: Visit to Kars: the Kars Fortress, the Holy Apostles Church, and return to Yerevan. Depending on weather conditions, an extra day may be spent in the tent camp at no additional cost. Price includes: transport for all directions, 3 nights in a high-quality hotel, meals during the ascent, guide services (including local guides), entrance fees for sightseeing, rental of tents, crampons, and horses for luggage. Not included: Turkish visa fee and meals in cities. Mount Ararat requires physical preparation. We will organize preparatory hikes, meetings, and consultations regarding equipment and gear selection.

Ararat Ascent 5 Days (Kars, Ani, Bayazet)

From August 26-30, 2026, we plan to ascend to the peak of dreams — the majestic Ararat. Day 1 In the morning at 04:00, we depart from the Garegin Nzhdeh statue towards the Armenian-Georgian border. Crossing into Turkey through Javakhk, we will enjoy stunning views. Then we will head to the historical capital of "a thousand and one churches," Ani. After experiencing the power of its unique structures and history, we will continue to Bayazet for an overnight stay in a comfortable hotel. Day 2 In the morning, off-road vehicles will take us to the first base camp at 3200m. Overnight stay in tents. Day 3 In the morning, we start the ascent to the second base camp at 4200m. Overnight stay in tents. Day 4 Around midnight (01:00–02:00), we begin the final climb to reach the summit by morning. Weather permitting, we will witness the most cherished dream — Armenia and its sea of mountains. Then we descend back to the first camp at 3200m, rest, and head down to Bayazet. Overnight stay in the hotel. Day 5 After breakfast, we will travel to Kars, visit the Kars Fortress and the Holy Apostles Church, and then return to Yerevan. Depending on weather conditions, an extra day may be spent in the base camp at no additional cost. The price includes: - Transport in all directions - 2 nights in a high-quality hotel - Meals during the ascent - Guide services (including local guides) - Entrance fees to attractions - Rent of tents and crampons - Rent of horses The price does not include: Turkey visa fee, meals in cities, and other personal expenses. Climbing Ararat and 5000m+ peaks requires special preparation. We will hold meetings and provide consultations regarding the choice of equipment and gear.
