The Lion at My Back

Mariama, a teenage Senegalese asylum seeker newly released from a shelter for unaccompanied minors, crosses paths with Stella, a Cypriot woman struggling to rebuild her life and regain custody of her child. As the two women form an unlikely friendship, they challenge prejudice, confront their personal traumas, and discover an unexpected meaning of love, solidarity, and family.
