Minas, a 10-year-old blind boy with a magical ability to heal, struggles with his father's inability to accept him. His only source of comfort is his grandmother, who works tirelessly to restore his sight and guide him through her love. After her death, the village priest takes Minas in, but the villagers — fearing him and blaming him for past tragedies — turn against him. Minas secretly heals a sick girl, but the priest dies the next day. At his funeral, the villagers argue about repurposing the church for personal gain, highlighting their moral decay. Minas abandons the village, leaving behind a fog.
