Premiere of the film Qarpet, dedicated to the project of the same name by Alexander Nikitin and Dmitry Beketov. Drawing on their time living in Armenia and their sustained engagement with Armenian visual culture, the artists created a series that brings together the monumentality of the khachkar and the ornamental language of carpet weaving, reinterpreting traditional forms in a new sculptural format. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with director Arman Ayvazyan and artists Alexander Nikitin and Dmitry Beketov, moderated by exhibition curator Armen Yesayants. Admission is by prior registration only. Questions: (+374 10) 56 72 62
