An intimate talk-performance by Karine Davtyan and Lavrent Hovhannisyan exploring the body of work developed jointly over the past five years. The artists will share the conceptual and material processes behind their practice, and how architectural research and travels inform their way of working. The conversation unfolds through a live performance, activating each piece with mobile lighting. As light moves across the spatial collages, shifting shadows transform each composition, altering spatial perception and making the unseen visible. The event's title references Jun’ichirō Tanizaki’s eponymous essay on Japanese aesthetics and the ways shadows shape our perception of space.
