Art critic Sona Arsenyan will discuss how Miyazaki’s unique style was formed and how the themes that recur throughout his career first emerged in his early years. The evening concludes with a screening of Isao Takahata’s "PANDA! GO PANDA!" (1972), for which Miyazaki wrote the screenplay and designed the characters.
