In the early 4th century, the Roman Empire fought the spread of Christianity by deploying wandering mime troupes to mock Gospel stories. Ardalion was a performer in one such troupe. During a performance, a divine light descends upon him. He undergoes a sudden conversion, leading his enraged fellow actors to crucify him right on stage. A satirical farce turns into a tragedy, and Ardalion becomes a martyr. Director: Zhirayr Dadasyan Organizer: Yerevan State Pantomime Theatre
