A jazz drama in two acts based on the play by Shelagh Delaney. Jo and her mother Helen move into yet another uncomfortable, cold, and dingy apartment. Jo is tired of "living out of suitcases" and her mother’s revolving door of men. Soon, Peter Smith arrives with an unexpected proposal for Helen.
