"Conflict Management" Workshop · 21st Century Survival Skills

Sep26Sat, September 2614:00 - 17:00
LumiSpaceFormula Hub, 65/5 Halabyan St, Yerevan 0078, Armenia
20,000 AMD

"Conflict Management" is one of the workshops in the "21st Century Survival Skills" series. What do you do when a conversation turns into an argument, or when you keep putting off a conversation that matters? We'll look at what sits behind a disagreement and how to prepare for one. Using the "Seven Elements" approach from the Harvard Negotiation Project, we'll learn to tell a position apart from a real interest, to see the alternatives, and to understand what makes an agreement work for both sides. Through role-played situations and discussion, we'll practice listening, lowering tension and finding possible next steps. Bring a difficult conversation you'd like to understand better. No prior experience needed. Facilitated by Arthur Martirosyan Arthur G. Martirosyan is a senior consultant at CMPartners (Cambridge, Massachusetts) and a negotiation specialist with 30 years of experience. From 1994 he spent eighteen years working with Professor Roger Fisher, founder of the Harvard Negotiation Project and author of "Getting to Yes". He has designed and led negotiation and strategic support programs in some of the world's most difficult conflicts, from Chechnya and the South Caucasus to Israel-Palestine, Iraq and Kosovo, and has trained managers at dozens of Fortune 500 companies. He holds a master's degree in international relations from Yale University. The workshop is held in Armenian.
