Argentine-Spanish composer and sound artist Nicolas Melmann presents “Música Aperta,” an electroacoustic, audiovisual, and immersive performance. The project explores the perception of time through sound, blending string timbres, organ, tape recordings, and electronics. The performance is accompanied by visuals based on early 20th-century microscopic films by biologist Percy Smith. It is a contemplative experience where sound, image, time, and space form an enveloping sensory environment.
