Sumerians are the oldest known civilization: the creators of grand ziggurats, ancient epic songs, and significant lovers of beer. Over a glass of beer, we will discuss Sumerian legends: the Great Flood and the gods Enlil and Enki, the adventures of Ishtar and Dumuzi, the wars of Uruk with the mythical Aratta, Gilgamesh's quest for immortality, and the rise of Marduk. We will also try to find where Armenians fit into this history. The lecture will be held by Sona Arsenyan, an art critic and editor-in-chief of the ArtGuru blog. 3000֏, payment in cash at the entrance. Lecture participants receive a 20% discount on all beer and cider at the Letters and Numbers bar. Registration via the form at lettersandnumbers.am. Age limit: 18+ Pet-friendly.
