Beyond the Mountain

Oct8Thu, October 819:30
National Puppet Theatre4 Sayat-Nova Ave, Yerevan 0009, Armenia
2000-5000 AMD
Translated

A play exploring the profound connection between the people of Artsakh and their native land following the 2020 war. At its heart is the innocent love story of two teenagers facing the painful reality of leaving their mountains and being separated from one another. The production brings to life characters from different generations: an 85-year-old grandfather longing for his lost home, a disabled veteran of the first war who cannot imagine life elsewhere, a man from Hadrut displaced to Stepanakert, and a young woman waiting for her fiancé missing in action. For them, the land is not just a territory, but an inseparable part of their soul and identity.
