Apricot Groves
Screening of "Apricot Groves" (2016) followed by a discussion with director Pouria Heidary Oureh. The feature film follows Aram, an Iranian-Armenian trans man living in the US, who travels back to the region to propose to his Armenian girlfriend and undergo gender-affirming surgery in Iran. It is the first film shot in Armenia to feature a transmasculine protagonist. Language: Armenian and Persian with English subtitles Runtime: 78 minutes
