NOPA. Festival for sonic arts

Field Recording & Porous Listening

Oct2Fri, October 2
Yerevan Botanical Garden1 Acharyan St, Yerevan, Armenia
Translated

Drawing inspiration from the permeable skin of amphibians, this workshop approaches field recording and deep listening as modes of becoming porous — dissolving the boundaries between self and world in an ongoing exchange that invites multispecies kinship. The session introduces microphone technologies, field recording techniques, listening postures, and bioacoustic explorations, offering tools to reshape our relationship with animals, landscapes, and non-human environments. Led by Pablo ‘Rana’ Diserens, an artist and field recordist whose practice focuses on listening, sonic ecologies, and interspecies coexistence. Conducted in English.
