After falling in love with a vampire, Bella Swan faces her most harrowing ordeal: the loss of the one she loves. Edward decides to leave to save her from becoming a pawn in the eternal conflict between clans of "night hunters." Struggling to cope with his disappearance, Bella grows closer to her friend Jacob Black, unaware that he harbours a dangerous secret. For Jacob belongs to another "people of the darkness" — one far more savage and perilous than the aristocratic vampires. An iconic love story returns to the big screen.
