Anna Frants: The Fish Has the Last Word

Anna Frants: The Fish Has the Last Word

A performance by Anna Frants presented as part of the CYFEST 17 opening program in the Escalator Gallery. While machines engage in a dialogue of their own, two performers observe the robots Anatoly and Miro alongside a fish in an aquarium positioned between them. They write down their observations, erase them, and begin again. The action unfolds across three layers of observation: the machines observe and interact with each other; the performers watch the robots and the fish; and the audience observes the performers, the machines, and the entire process of observation. Unlike the dialogue between machines, human notes disappear to make room for new ones, turning this into another episode of the Obsessive Observation project, where the observer becomes the object observed.

Organizer
