Lilit Grigoryan, pianist and professor at the University of Music and Theatre Rostock, and David Petersen, soloist with the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, present a concert program based on their collaborative album, “Perfect Happiness?” The program is a musical exploration of Leipzig Romanticism. Taking its title from the fifth miniature of Schumann’s Kinderszenen, the duo raises the artistic question: where does perfect happiness begin? Program: • Robert Schumann — Kinderszenen, Op. 15 • Theodor Kirchner — New Children’s Scenes, Op. 55 • Ignaz Moscheles — Grand Concertante Duet, Op. 34 • Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy — Songs Without Words, Sonata No. 1, Op. 45 (arranged for bassoon and piano) Tickets are available at the Philharmonia Box Office (2 Abovyan St).
