Contemporary dance, work in progress (15–20 min). Wave explores the different figures and inner states of a human being confronting nature, the elements, and water. The performance can be perceived as the struggle of a drowning person trying to survive, breathe, and resist the water's force, but also as a passage from the physical toward the spiritual, from human to water, and from individual experience toward merging with the element. It is an exploration of how a human being sees water, and how water “sees” the human being. Artistic Director: Tsolak MLKE-Galstyan.

Organizer

An international performing-arts festival based in Yerevan (since 2003) showcasing multidisciplinary contemporary theatre, dance, media and circus works alongside workshops and masterclasses. Notable for presenting international companies and site-specific outdoor media-water performances that blend visual spectacle with socially engaged, thought-provoking themes.
