Give a Voice to the River
As part of COP-17 Biodiversity, an exhibition presentation concludes a three-day meetup led by artist and philosopher Ludovic Duhem with nine art students from HEAR, SAFAA, and TUMO Studios. Duhem’s research explores the intersections of aesthetics, technology, politics, and ecology, examining tensions between human-shaped landscapes and living systems through drawing, sculpture, and performance. Beginning with a walk along the Hrazdan River to explore the world from the perspective of the river and its non-human inhabitants, the students use objects, narratives, and texts to develop an exhibition that gives form to the river's voice.
Organizer
TUMO Studios is a nonprofit, hands-on design and craft education program in Yerevan that runs workshops, technical courses, public lectures, exhibitions and collaborative fashion projects. The Studios emphasize analog product-making, sustainability, and community-driven initiatives (e.g., Hand by Hand) to support young artisans and displaced women.
