From Embroidery to Porcelain

A design atelier led by Arpy Gokceyan exploring the intersection of textile traditions and ceramics. Inspired by the book "Rescued Armenian Embroidery", the workshop explores translating traditional cross-stitch patterns into contemporary ceramic objects. Participants will work with translucent porcelain slabs and colored porcelain slips using a cross-stitch grid. By the end of the atelier, each participant will create a porcelain lamp combining embroidery rhythms, colors, and patterns with porcelain. Apply by November 1.
