GAIA TERRAIN: Performative Talk by Simon Fisher
Australian artist Simon Fisher’s practice blurs the lines between fine art, artistic exploration, and a drive to collect and archive. Fisher often combines everyday objects into playful creations. His curiosity and technical proficiency, honed through years of professional work across art, theatre, and architecture, fuel explorations spanning painting, sculpture, collage, photography, and new media, including virtual reality. His early inspirations took root during childhood in Kenya, shaped by watching local craftspeople and makers work by hand, before moving through the UK and Australia, continually adapting to new cultures, materials, and environments.
