Ten mechanical metronomes, each set to a different tempo, create an evolving rhythmic environment. As their mechanisms gradually unwind, the rhythms drift, interact, and eventually fade. Using a directional microphone, the performer selects sounds in real time, while the composer responds with a live electronic layer. The piece ends when the mechanisms themselves come to a stop.
