Emanuil Vidinski: Home for Beginners
Book presentation of “Home for Beginners” by Bulgarian writer, poet, and musician Emanuil Vidinski. In this autobiographical coming-of-age novel, a 13-year-old Bulgarian boy finds himself in a German orphanage. Set in the 1990s, the story weaves together humor, teenage adventure, and a love of music as the protagonist navigates unwritten rules to find his place. Emanuil Vidinski is also a co-founder of the ethno-rock band Gologan and serves as an editor at Deutsche Welle’s Bulgarian section. Event language: English and Armenian Age limit: 16+
