Drum Circle at Medina

Live Music
Sep5Sat, September 516:30 - 23:00
Medina68 house, 46 Bagrevand St, Jrvezh 2227, Armenia
6,000 – 11,000 AMD

We're gathering at Medina for an afternoon of rhythm followed by an evening around the fire. We start gathering at 4:30. Come early, meet people, grab something to eat or drink and settle in. At 5:30, we start the drum circle. You don't need to be a musician or know how to play. At first you might be figuring out the rhythm, but after a while the repetition takes over, everyone starts listening to each other, and the circle begins to feel like one thing. We'll play for about two hours. Around sunset, the drum circle ends and the fire starts. Potatoes go into the coals, corn comes out, music goes on, and the evening gets more relaxed. That's when the other instruments come out. Bring a guitar, percussion, your voice, or whatever you play. Maybe we jam, maybe we sing, maybe we just hang out around the fire. And you don't need to play anything at all to come. You can listen, meet people, eat, stay for the fire, or just spend the evening with us. Everything we're serving is included with your ticket. If you'd like something alcoholic, feel free to bring your own.
