A meeting with contemporary Georgian writer Tea Topuria and the presentation of two of her books recently translated into Armenian. “At Jacob’s Well” is a novel of magical realism where the mythical and the real intertwine, elevating a small nation's tragedy to a cosmic level. “The Pilot’s Word” is a collection of poetry that attempts to overcome gravity and speak from a height where every pain seems insignificant. Speakers: • Tea Topuria — author • Asya Darbinyan — translator of the poetry collection • Ani Astaturyan — translator of the novel • Anahit Ghazakhetsyan — moderator Admission is free.

Organizer

An annual literature festival held in Yerevan (Republic Square) that brings together readings, book launches, panels, translation and publishing initiatives, and international guest publishers; the festival also runs satellite events in regional cities like Gyumri and Kapan.
