Art Exhibition Inspired by Lchashen Tombs
An interdisciplinary art and research exhibition inspired by the Bronze Age tomb finds of Lchashen, resulting from a seven-month project rooted in artistic research and interviews with archaeologists. The artists apply modern and traditional practices to explore the untapped artistic, cultural, and economic value of ancient art and heritage. The display features more than 50 works created using materials and techniques linked to Lchashen's tombs: glass, ceramics made from rare clay gathered by hand in Lchashen, and re-creations of communal rituals, spiritual practices, dyes, pigments, minerals, threads, fabrics, and jewelry. Artists: Elina Erkatyan, Elizabeth Arakelyan, Mariam Galstyan, Sasun Margaryan, Eliza Karapetyan. Part of the alumni program of the Institute for Contemporary Art course "How to Survive as a Young Artist".
Organizer
A Yerevan-based contemporary art institution focused on research, education, and production of contemporary art in Armenia and internationally. Programs include exhibitions, artist residencies, sound and experimental installations, talks, workshops, and cross‑border festival collaborations.
