Dynamic Molecular Landscape of Disordered Translation Factors: From Molecular Interactions to Biomolecular Condensates

Dynamic Molecular Landscape of Disordered Translation Factors: From Molecular Interactions to Biomolecular Condensates

Oct8Thu, October 816:00

How proteins interact, assemble, and organize themselves is at the heart of an upcoming talk with Dr. Mikayel Aznauryan from the European Institute of Chemistry and Biology, CNRS, INSERM, University of Bordeaux. Exploring “Dynamic Molecular Landscape of Disordered Translation Factors: From Molecular Interactions to Biomolecular Condensates,” the talk will focus on how intrinsically disordered protein regions (IDRs) use dynamic interactions to drive molecular recognition, self-assembly, and the formation of biomolecular condensates. Using the translation factor eIF4B as a model system, Dr. Aznauryan will discuss how molecular clusters emerge before macroscopic phase separation and how factors such as ionic conditions, molecular crowding, and post-translational modifications can regulate biomolecular condensation. 📌 October 8 | 4:00 PM | Faculty Lounge 🔗 Register via the link in bio. #AUA #AUAACSE #BiomolecularScience #ProteinScience #BiomolecularCondensates #Research
