Armenian GeographicMount Khustup has been a sacred site for pilgrimage since ancient times. Join us for a two-day ascent to experience its majestic allure and panoramic views. Day 1: Yerevan – Kapan – Baghaburj Departure from Yerevan to Kapan, followed by an off-road drive from Baghaburj village. We will set up camp at 2,000 meters altitude. Overnight stay at "Khustup Camping" in tents (provided by the organizers). Day 2: The Summit Early morning hike toward the peak. We will watch the sunrise from the Gates of Khustup. The summit offers views of the Voghji Gorge, the town of Kapan, and the Zangezur, Meghri, and Bargushat mountain ranges. Required gear: Plate, spoon, fork, cup, sleeping bag, foam mattress, backpack, walking sticks, flashlight, raincoat, sunglasses, first aid kit, sun hat, warm hat, and warm clothing. Sleeping bags and mattresses are available for rent (5,000 AMD for both). Wear comfortable sports clothes and hiking boots with hard soles; bring a spare pair of shoes.
