Armenian GeographicA hike to the summit of Mount Yeghnasar (2,599 m) in the Areguni Mountains, timed specifically to witness the sunset over Lake Sevan. Starting from the village of Semenovka, the route offers views of the volcanic cones of the Geghama range before descending past Kakach Lake to the village of Tsovagyugh. Route length: 12 km Altitude gain: 500 m Required gear: backpack, trekking poles (optional), food for one day, water (at least 1.5l), personal first aid kit, sunglasses, cap, warm clothes, headlight, raincoat, sunscreen, hiking gaiters. Wear comfortable sports clothes and hiking boots or sturdy-soled athletic shoes. Bringing a spare pair of shoes is recommended. How to register: 1.
