Mtnalich, Rapi and Astghkan Lakes

A hike to the alpine lakes of Mount Aragats. Starting from Geghadzor village, a truck will take us up to Lake Rapi (3,000m), offering a view of the mountain's northern wall. From there, we hike to Mtnalich (3,500m), a deep blue lake situated directly beneath Armenia’s highest peak, and continue to Lake Astghkan. Route length: 10 km Altitude gain: 500 m Required gear: Backpack, hiking boots (+ spare shoes), warm clothes, raincoat, cap, sunglasses, sunscreen, headlight, personal first aid kit, one-day meal, and at least 1.5l of water.
