Ughtasar Peak Ascent and Petroglyphs

A two-day journey to Syunik to summit Mount Ughtasar (3528 m) and explore ancient petroglyphs and a high-altitude lake. Day 1: • Shaki Waterfall • Sisian History Museum • Tolors Reservoir and the submerged St. Hripsime Church • Sisian city walk and overnight stay at a guesthouse Day 2: • 25 km off-road drive to the mountain slopes • Ascent to the peak of Ughtasar • Hike to the lake and the petroglyphs Hiking stats: 5–6 km distance, 600 m elevation gain. Required items: comfortable warm clothes, raincoat, sunscreen, at least 1.5L of water, and food for two days. Price: 30,000 AMD.
